Chinese Journal of Clinical Anatomy was founded in July 1983 by Academician Zhong Shizhen, a famous clinical anatomist in China. It is a state-level core journal of basic medicine, supervised by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, sponsored by the Chinese Anatomical Society, and sponsored by the Department of Anatomy, School of Basic Medicine, Southern Medical University. The journal aims to strengthen the combination of basic anatomy theory and clinical practice, focusing on the publication of applied anatomy, clinical research, experimental research, biomechanics, and digital anatomy related papers closely related to clinical application. It is published bimonthly and has more than 42 volumes and 200 issues, based on anatomical research, covering many clinical disciplines such as surgery and imaging.
Chinese Journal of Clinical Anatomy has been included as the core journal of basic medicine by "A Guide to the Core Journal of China", which is a national level I journal. It has been cited by a variety of domestic search tools and databases, including the Chinese Medical Current Contents (CMCC), the Chinese Biomedical Disc (CBMDisc), the large full-text database of Chinese Academic Journals (CD-ROM version), and the Chinese Medical Abstract, etc., which is the source journal of the Chinese Scientific Citation Database and a scientific journal with high citation frequency. The journal is fully indexed in CNKI and has been included in digital platforms such as Chaoxing Domain Publishing, Wanfang Database, Chinese Medical Association, and Chongqing VIP. It has also launched an official WeChat public account and mini-program. The academic quality and influence of the journal have steadily improved, being indexed in Peking University Core, CSCD, CSSCI, and WJCI. According to the China Academic Journal Impact Factor Yearbook (Natural Science and Engineering Technology, CNKI data, 2023 edition), the journal impact factor is 0.796. According to the CSCD-JCR China Science and Technology Journal Citation Report (2022), the journal impact factor is 0.223, ranking in the forefront of core journals related to anatomy.
